Kabees Magazine

Branding & Print

Kabees Magazine is an Arabic quarterly publication that explores the relationship between food and design through the lens of a single ingredient in each issue. It aims at celebrating local food culture and culinary knowledge through a language that challenges the graphic and visual representations of food.

Each issue is divided into 3 sections: information, stories, and recipes. The informative part narrates and visualizes the history, agriculture, and health benefits of the central ingredient, while the second part, “stories,” narrates the cultural and social aspects of the ingredient, such as interviews and surveys with cooks, farmers, or food vendors. The third and final part presents relevant recipes of the ingredient. This first issue is about the Chickpea, a humble legume that has become the symbol of our region.
